The Charged Plate Monitor CPM 374 measures the voltage potential on its integrated plate electrode. The monitor is suitable to determine the discharge time from a preset voltage threshold to a lower voltage value level. A timer, a high voltage unit and an electric field meter working according to the fieldmill influence principe are integrated.
This allows for the necessary high input impedance of 1015Ω to measure electrostatic voltage potentials and discharge times of air ionizers.
The device complies with the European standard EN 61340-5-1 and the American EOS/ESD S.3.1
The high voltage unit is protected by a high-ohmic resistor and therefore insulated.
Due to its compact design and the battery operation the CPM 374 is ideal for the mobile use in industiral areas. It can also be run in a fixed location by means of its power supply. The CPM 374 is operated via only 2 switches, is menu-driven and therefore very easy to use. All set parameters are shown in the two-line LCD display for a better orientation. The measured positive and negative discharge times as well as the offset voltage are stored in the internal non-volatile EEPROM memory and can be read out later via the serial RS 232 interface.
