DRY-SHIELD type A shielding bags are conductive metallized shielding bags. They offer excellent protection against moisture and electrostatic charge thanks to a special multilayer of dissipative polyester film, aluminum vaporization and dissipative polyethylene film. The bags have the following common properties:

• heat-sealable
• Vacuum sealable
• defined water vapour permeability thanks to multilayer of conductive polyester film, aluminium vapour coating and conductive polyethylene film
• Electrostatic shielding < 15 nJ (energy test)
• EMI shielding > 40 db
• Standard imprint: ESD warning symbol, moisture symbol, type designation, recycling symbol, production date in weld seam
• in compliance with MIL-B81705 Type 1 Class 1

Note: The complete “dry package” concept for the packaging of electronics comprises three essential components: protective bags with a moisture barrier to protect the components from external moisture, desiccants to absorb residual moisture inside the packaging and moisture indicators to monitor the effectiveness of the moisture protection.
