The WT5025 electrometer is a measuring instrument designed to measure a person’s body voltage in relation to the floor and footwear in accordance with DIN EN IEC 61340-4-5. This test assesses the quality of the ‘person/footwear/floor’ earthing system. The test is of particular importance when the ‘person/footwear/floor’ system is used as the primary personal earthing system.

The WT5025 allows body voltage to be measured in two ways:

  • Measurement of body voltage without recording:
    • The measured body voltage is shown on the WT5025’s colour display.
    • The device displays the current reading as well as the maximum positive and negative values.
    • In addition, the result is shown in a bar graph..
  • Measurement of body voltage with recording:
    • To measure body voltage, the WT5025 can also be connected to a PC.
    • Using the ‘Digilloscope’ analysis software, the body voltage is then displayed on the computer during the measurement and can subsequently be saved.
    • The five highest peak values can be automatically highlighted and the mean value calculated.
