WXHotAir Hot-air station
dpvlink 32710
900 W regulated high power for demanding rework applications
WXHotAir delivers up to 900 W of thermal energy for demanding rework applications and complex printed circuit boards. Constant thermal output for profile-specific processes and uniform temperature distribution from 50 to 600 °C ensure profile-compliant rework. The integrated vacuum pickup enables safe and precise component removal immediately after reflow.
High-precision component removal after reflow with two vacuum pickup options
- Integrated vacuum: The hot-air handpiece lifts the component directly off the PCB as soon as the solder has melted. No additional accessories are required.
- External vacuum: The station operates either the WVP vacuum pipette or the WRK reflow set for precise component pickup after reflow.
Safe handling of temperature-sensitive components
Integrated temperature monitoring, teach-in mode, and overheating protection help prevent thermal damage during the rework process.
Reworking PCBs with a high copper content
The 900 W output power compensates for rapid heat dissipation in PCBs with a high copper content and high thermal mass.
Additional features for controlled and precise finishing
Dual-function hot-air nozzles
The nozzle design combines an optimized airflow with component preheating, thereby supporting controlled heat transfer during finishing.
1. Component preheating
The integrated preheating function helps reduce the required maximum temperature and the thermal stress on the component.
2. Optimized airflow
Airflow-optimized outlets direct the hot air directly onto the pins.
LED Status indicator
The integrated LED displays the station’s current operating status via distinct color signals and light patterns, enabling a quick visual check at a glance.
Standalone operation
For standardized applications with fixed process settings. It operates without a connected PC and offers fixed temperature and airflow settings, three storable presets, and simple, intuitive operation for reliable rework processes.
Integrated into the WXsmart soldering platform
For a compact and integrated rework workstation with up to three channels. Combines powerful hot-air technology with two additional soldering tools, a space-saving, stackable design, Profile Mode, a teach-in function, and full traceability.
With the WXHotAir desktop software
For profile creation, process monitoring, and documentation. Supports sensor tracking, teach-in, graphical temperature analysis, project-based data storage, and role-based user management for reproducible and traceable rework processes.
Key features for controlled, repeatable rework
- Sensor tracking & Teach-In mode
Two connectable sensors monitor temperatures in real time. Monitoring dwell and reflow temperatures optimizes process control. Teach-in mode records the time it takes to reach the defined sensor temperature for each process step. This enables rapid profile creation for consistent, repeatable, and high-quality results. - Integrated safety & protection:
Sensor-based monitoring checks defined temperature limits and thermal stress during operation. Shutdown at peak temperature and configurable auto-off provide additional process protection. - Digital process documentation
Profiles, comments, PDF work instructions, and images are saved in the corresponding project. CSV profiles can be archived, uploaded, and reused along with all relevant process information. - User management
Administrator and operator modes separate profile management from process execution. Operators can load and run validated profiles, while parameter changes are reserved for administrators. - Professional process monitoring
Programmed setpoints as well as tool and sensor temperature values are displayed throughout the entire process. The graph visualizes the complete thermal profile and can be saved for later analysis.
