The Nexxit 1 ESD swivel chair made of faux leather combines ergonomic flexibility with comprehensive ESD protection, ideal for use in electronically sensitive work environments. Manufactured by bimos, the chair is specifically designed for both high and low workstations and offers a variety of adjustment options to meet individual needs. ESD suitability of the NEXXIT
The ESD NEXXIT swivel chair ensures reliable discharge of even the smallest electrostatic voltages with its overall discharge across all components. To achieve this, upholstery, castors or glides, plastics and coated steel parts are all dissipative.
The ESD standard EN 61340-5-1 specifies how low the discharge resistance of a chair must be. The ESD NEXXIT falls below this value and also has an extremely low surface resistance.
The right chair for high and low workstations
Whether high or low workstations, the versions of the ESD NEXXIT are ideal for every work situation. The focus is always on ergonomics, with all the important adjustment options to protect the health of employees.
Ergonomics needs adjustment options
The ESD NEXXIT swivel chair can be easily adapted to different activities and employees and protects against incorrect sitting postures. All relevant functions can be individually adjusted - intuitively and usually with just one movement.
1. Height adjustment
To promote good circulation and prevent tension, there should be a 90° angle between the upper body and legs as well as the upper and lower legs. The seat height is therefore adjusted to the employee's height using the height adjustment mechanism, both for the low and high chair versions.
2. Seat tilt adjustment
The seat tilt adjustment ensures that the seat surface tilts forwards. The angle between the seat and back remains at least 90° even when working at a forward angle. The blood circulation in the body is maintained, the sitting posture is relaxed and the employee can concentrate fully on the task at hand.
3. Seat depth adjustment
The seat depth adjustment adjusts the length of the seat surface by 60 mm to the thighs, allowing it to be adapted to the individual physique of the employee.
4. Backrest height adjustment
The height of the backrest can also be adjusted by 60 mm to support the employee's back precisely in the lumbar region.
5. Synchronous technology
The synchronous technology with automatic weight adjustment adapts automatically to the employee. This ensures a continuously supportive backrest and an active and dynamic sitting experience.
6. 3-step preselection
The opening width of the backrest can be preset in three stages. Depending on the activity, whether working with a high level of effort (level 1), short hand-eye distance (level 2) or a large reach, it can be precisely determined (level 3).
Dissipative materials - covers
Electrostatic charge is generated both on objects and on people. It is therefore important that the materials of the ESD NEXXIT reliably dissipate the electrostatic charge that is carried away by employees and endangers the components into the floor. At the same time, it must be ensured that no new charge is generated on the chair itself. All upholstery used in the ESD area has been developed precisely for this purpose.
1 - Integral form ESD
In some ESD areas, resistant and robust cover materials are required. Integral foam is recommended in these environments. Integral foam is extremely resistant to mechanical influences.
2 - Supertec ESD
Particularly soft, comfortable upholstery consisting of breathable backing material and robust micro-armoring for a slip and cut-resistant surface, hard-wearing and easy to clean. Suitable for all areas of use except in the laboratory. Particularly durable and makes the NEXXIT a worthwhile investment.
3 - Fabric ESD
Fabric is soft and comfortable and ensures a pleasant sitting sensation. It is permeable to air and therefore breathable. Especially in clean environments, such as the ESD area, fabric is a popular cover material and offers employees maximum comfort.
4 - Synthetic leather ESD
The cover material artificial leather has two main advantages: It is extremely easy to clean, washable and resistant to disinfectants. And, alongside fabric, it is one of the softest materials, which ensures a high level of seating comfort.
