CARBOSTAT air bubble interlayers 550 x 350 mm 0.16 mm
The CARBOSTAT air cushion interlayers with dimensions of 550 x 350 mm and a thickness of 0.16 mm are made from a permanently volume-conductive copolymer material, which is constructed in three layers and has a smooth surface on both the outside and the inside. These interlayers are fully recyclable and come in an elegant black color without any printing.
The technical specifications include a film thickness of 160 micrometers (my), a surface resistance and a volume resistance of 10^4 Ω each, which makes them conductive according to the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1. The bubbles of the film have a height of 4 mm and a diameter of 10 mm.
With proper storage, the interlayers have an unlimited shelf life, making them an ideal choice for technical applications and ESD-safe packaging.
Note on ESD Measurement:
To obtain a reliable measurement result, the resistance measurement should be conducted without trapped air. Without air cushioning, the necessary contact area of the electrodes on the material is provided, which delivers a precise measurement result. Measurements with air gaps can lead to deviating values.
