The Smart RT Micro MS soldering tip series is designed for the WXMPS MS soldering iron. They are ideal for micro and standard applications as they are perfectly matched to components from 0504 to 1608 (size M to L). These intelligent high-performance soldering tips offer an extremely fast heat-up time of just 5 seconds. The Thermal Core technology ensures high performance at the soldering tip. Thanks to the short distance from tip to handle and the optimized tip shape, maximum precision is guaranteed during the soldering process.
The soldering tips have unique identification, a soldering tip locking function for comprehensive process control, a soldering tip ID for traceability and integrated data storage. An offset function ensures precise data results, while tip changes are quick, safe and easy to perform.
MS soldering tips are MIL-SPEC compliant, i.e. they are used in accordance with MIL-STD-2000. In contrast to conventional soldering tips, they have additional insulation to earth, which prevents interference frequencies. As a result, they are often used for soldering tasks in the military sector. MS soldering tips are not compatible with conventional handpieces, but must always be used with MS soldering irons.
Weller offers 3 different tip technologies, the RTMS series offers the Active-Tip technology.
