A new approach to improving and simplifying soldering tip temperature control, from measurement to logging, to increase production quality.

The importance of controlling soldering tip temperature is growing with the introduction of digitally controlled soldering stations in production facilities where sophisticated quality control systems are required. HAKKO's soldering tip thermometer with log management is designed to eliminate errors caused by human error (e.g., measurement errors and transmission errors) and supports the soldering tip control process in a simple, reliable, and appropriate manner.

Measurement procedure

  • Scan the device and the ID of the person to be measured with the barcode reader.
  • Measure the temperature.
  • Press the REC button to save the data on the device.
  • Transfer and save the data to a computer

 

No errors thanks to standardization of temperature measurement

The device has a function to indicate the end of the measurement. When the measurement is complete, the “H” symbol stops flashing. The device detects measurement errors and can prompt the operator to repeat the measurement. The display shows “Fail” if the soldering tip loses contact with the

sensor before the measurement is complete.

 

Pass/fail assessment of the measured temperature

A pass/fail assessment can be performed automatically if an acceptance temperature range has been set in advance. (The display shows “OK” or “Fail”.)

 

Easy management of soldering tip temperature logs by transferring the data to a computer.

The device can store up to 300 measurement data points. Transfer to the computer is via USB. (The data is in CSV format. USB cable included in delivery).

No transmission errors of the measured values

Additional functions

  • Group control: Groups with different temperatures can be defined for different processes. Pass/fail assessment of the measured temperature can be performed automatically using different acceptance temperature ranges.
  • Automatic counting of measurement points: The device automatically counts the number of measurements. This is used to estimate when the sensor should be replaced.
  • Calibration date notification: The device automatically notifies the user when the next calibration date has been entered.
