HELIUM® – lightest puncture protection in its class

HELIUM® offers maximum lightness, flexibility, and cushioning. The extremely robust material is significantly lighter than conventional textile midsoles, noticeably reduces fatigue and at the same time ensures greater mobility and control of the foot.

POWER FOAM

The POWER FOAM cushioning system has been specially developed to ensure an optimal combination of cushioning, stability, and energy return. It offers joint protection and exceptionally high rebound, making every step more dynamic and energy-efficient. Thanks to its high durability, the cushioning properties are maintained over the long term, ensuring lasting comfort. At the same time, POWER FOAM protects tendons, muscles, and joints, enabling fatigue-free running. Full-surface cushioning ensures uncompromising comfort, while the energy return formula increases efficiency and running speed and ensures optimal power transfer.

MID support insole

The semi-orthopedic “MID” insole has a metatarsal pad, i.e., additional support for the longitudinal arch. The slightly reinforced foot support provides comfortable cushioning for the feet and noticeably relieves pressure on the joints, tendons, and ligaments. The insoles are made of up to 76% high-quality recycled open-cell polyurethane foam and a proportion of recycled rubber.

Cool Dry climate technology

Cool Dry foot climate technology ensures a permanently comfortable foot climate – even during high physical activity. It combines high-quality leather and microfiber materials with a highly breathable Cool Mesh functional lining and climate-regulating insoles. The intelligent moisture transport system quickly absorbs moisture and releases it again, ensuring dry, comfortably temperate feet.

HKS is committed to environmentally conscious and responsible production “Made in Germany” in order to ensure the highest quality standards and avoid unnecessary environmental impact. The durability of the shoes, achieved through the use of high-quality materials, actively contributes to conserving resources and reducing waste – an essential part of true sustainability.

The brand works exclusively with selected suppliers who meet the highest ethical, social, and environmental standards and guarantee fair working conditions. With the 100% recyclable SMARTLITE® O LTPU system in the ENERGY plugin, an important step is being taken toward more environmentally friendly production and reduced CO₂ emissions in the safety footwear industry. In addition, the outsoles are made from up to 12% recycled TPU surplus from our own production, while PU waste is completely upcycled by partner companies.

State-of-the-art technologies and intelligent processes enable raw materials to be used more efficiently and production waste to be minimized. In addition, OEKO-TEX®-certified materials and recycled raw materials are used—for example, the insoles of the HKS® Multi-Support footbed system consist of up to 76% recycled polyurethane foam and rubber.

Sustainability is also a top priority when it comes to energy and packaging: solar energy already covers part of the company's electricity needs, while optimized transport routes and strict environmental protection standards further reduce emissions. The packaging consists of 76% recycled cardboard, is 100% recyclable, and carries the SC certificate. In addition, PEFC-certified kraft tissue paper from sustainable forestry is used.
