The ESD safety shoe Adventure, Admiral John by BAAK is specifically designed for work environments where electrostatic discharge is a critical issue. This half-shoe in black and yellow offers comprehensive protection thanks to compliance with standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345:2022 S1PS FO HRO LG SC SR ESD. The robust microfiber of the upper material is reinforced with TPU at the toe and heel, while the breathable sandwich textile lining, which is 65% made from recycled material, supports sustainability.The shoe is equipped with an innovative composite flex cap and a Kevlar midsole that effectively protect against penetrations. The slip-resistant rubber sole with a flex zone increases safety at work. The Boa® closure system allows for quick donning and doffing, significantly enhancing wearing comfort. Additionally, the shoe features the Baak®go&relax system, which ensures optimal foot relief and supports orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191.
The shoe is available in sizes 38 to 48 and meets additional requirements such as heat resistance to contact heat, as well as oil and chemical resistance, making it an ideal choice for various industrial applications.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 105 to 3.5 x 107 ohms.
Safety class S1PS
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant textile insole (tested with a 3 mm test nail with at least 1100 N pressure) and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.

Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SR
The shoe is slip-resistant on ceramic tile floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
The DGUV Rule 112-191 defines how foot and knee protection must be properly used – particularly with regard to orthopedic insoles in safety shoes. Only safety shoes that are certified according to this rule may be fitted with custom insoles without impairing their protective function. This ensures that the safety features of the footwear remain fully intact.

BAAK NeoShield introduces a new, 100% recycled puncture-resistant insert that is just 3.8 mm thick and half the weight of conventional textile materials. In safety tests, the material significantly exceeds required standards, thereby offering extremely reliable protection. Beyond safety, the focus is on comfort: the material is considerably softer and more flexible, making the sole more adaptable and optimizing cushioning. Another major advantage is its excellent moisture management, as the insoles can absorb over 150 ml of water.
