Dissipative interlayers 550 x 350 mm
The air cushion interlayers from EPApack are specifically designed for technical applications that require dissipative or antistatic packaging. The interlayers meet the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1 and offer an effective solution to prevent electrostatic discharges. With a width of 350 mm and a length of 550 mm, complemented by a thickness of 0.1 mm, these interlayers are ideal for protecting sensitive products. The material is made of three-layer, recyclable polyethylene with a recycling content of 5%. The surface of the interlayers is pink and unprinted, which allows for easy identification. The bubbles of these air-cushioned interlayers have a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 4 mm, providing additional protection. The surface resistance is between 10^10 and 10^11 Ω, and the discharge time is a maximum of 2 seconds, ensuring quick and safe handling. The interlayers are sealable and, if stored properly, protected from UV radiation, and at an ambient temperature of 10 to 25 °C and a humidity over 20%, they last up to three years.
Note on ESD measurement:
To obtain a reliable measurement result, the resistance measurement should be conducted without trapped air. Without air cushioning, the necessary contact area of the electrodes on the material is provided, which delivers a precise measurement result. Measurements with an air gap can lead to deviating values.
