Ionizing guns

Ionizing guns are mobile ionizing systems for the targeted neutralization of electrostatic charges on surfaces. They are used in particular in work areas where electrostatically charged materials have to be processed or cleaned manually.

The guns use high voltage to generate positive and negative ions, which are directed onto the surface to be treated. This reduces existing static charges, which significantly reduces the risk of uncontrolled electrostatic discharges (ESD). The use of ionizing guns can help to reduce failure rates and supports compliance with ESD protection measures in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1. Regular checking of the ionization performance is required for reliable operation.
