Mini Monitor surveillance monitor with 4mm snap

The Desco Mini Monitor is an advanced surveillance monitor for ESD protection measures at individual workstations. This device is specifically designed to continuously monitor the path-to-ground integrity of both the operator and the ESD work surface. With its Wave Distortion Technology, the monitor enables stable and continuous monitoring of grounding connections and the 1-Megohm resistance of the wrist. Notably, the optical and acoustic alarms activate within less than 50 milliseconds if a disconnection occurs.
The illuminated housing of the monitor displays the status in various colors: Green for correct grounding, Red for error, and Blue for standby mode. Additionally, the device features a parking delay timer and the ParkSnap™ technology, which allows the operator to park the wrist cable without false alarms. The mat monitor switch and the adjustable volume of the acoustic alarm provide further customization options for specific work environments.
The Mini Monitor is equipped with a 4 mm push button and is powered by an AC/DC power adapter that offers an input voltage of 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and an output voltage of 9 VDC. The compact dimensions (63 mm diameter x 21 mm height) and the light weight of 44 g make the monitor particularly handy. The device is exclusively designed for use indoors and below 2000 m altitude, with a maximum relative humidity of 80% at temperatures up to 30 °C, decreasing linearly to 50% at 30 °C.

Mini moitors

The Desco Mini Monitor is a continuous monitor for a single workstation. It continuously monitors the path-to-ground integrity of an operator and an ESD work surface. The illuminated housing makes the status of the operator and work surface clearly visible to the operator and supervisor.

The mini monitor is designed with Wave Distortion Technology to provide stable, continuous monitoring of the operator's wrist grounding and 1-megohm resistance. Audible and visual alarms are activated (in less than 50 milliseconds) if the operator unintentionally disconnects from the monitor or if the wrist strap connection points are interrupted. The Mini Monitor also monitors that the path between the work surface and ground is less than 10 megohms. All Mini Monitors are calibrated to NIST standards. (When connected to a grounded outlet, the device is automatically grounded and therefore ESD-safe.)

The mini monitors are available with a 4mm or a 10mm snap.

  • Audible Alarm Adjustment: adjusts the volume of the audible alarm from loud to louder
  • Wave Distortion Technology: enables stable, continuous monitoring (as opposed to pulsed or intermittent signals) of the wristband’s grounding path and the presence of the 1-megohm safety resistor
  • Grounding and threaded mounting on the work surface: grounds and monitors the work surface without an additional cable
  • Single-wire impedance design: complies with ANSI/ESD S20.20 in accordance with ESD TR1.0-01-0
  • 1.2-volt test voltage for the operator: reduces the risk of electrical overload (EOS) when handling sensitive components
  • Alarm response time <50 milliseconds: identifies failures and interruptions that are overlooked by inferior technologies
  • Available with a 4-mm or 10-mm snap
