ESD suitability - the chair for reliable discharge

The discharge of electrostatic voltages in the ESD NEON is made possible by all materials and the connection technology. Castors and glides discharge voltages directly into the floor, but the plastic back shell, the upholstery and the coated steel parts are also conductive.

At all EPAs (ESD Protected Areas), the aim is to consistently prevent charging and uncontrolled discharge. The DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard specifies the required resistances for this, but Bimos ESD chairs meet even stricter requirements.

1. Height adjustment

2. Seat tilt adjustment

The seat depth adjustment adjusts the depth of the seat to the user's height, providing an optimum support surface for the thighs. The contact between the backrest and back and therefore its support is always maintained. (stepplessly by 60 mm)

3. Synchronous mechanism

The synchronous technology was developed to enable employees to sit actively and dynamically. When you lean back, the backrest and seat move with you. As a result, the lumbar spine remains permanently supported and the employee is supported in all movements. The backrests can be locked in all positions. (0° - 23°)

4. Backrest height adjustment

The backrest height adjustment ensures that the person is ideally supported - especially in the lumbar region - no matter how tall they are. (60 mm)

Cover materials - conductive upholstery

To guarantee the safe dissipation of electrostatic charges, the upholstery from Bimos is also conductive and offers maximum comfort at the same time. Despite the high requirements in the ESD area, there are four upholstery variants to choose from.

1 - Synthetic leather Magic ESD

Conductive synthetic leather upholstery Magic for soft, comfortable “air cushion sitting”. Slip-resistant, washable, easy to clean, resistant to oils, grease, dust and disinfectants.

2 - Skintec

Skintec impresses with its unique combination of conductivity, comfort, and sustainability. Even in the light-colored versions, electrostatic charges are reliably dissipated thanks to the conductive coating. At the same time, the thick textile upholstery offers exceptional seating comfort, while the textured surface provides optimal support. The innovative manufacturing process with a sprayed-on Bomix layer guarantees efficient and environmentally friendly production.

3 - Supertec ESD

Particularly soft, comfortable upholstery consisting of breathable backing material and robust micro-armoring for a slip-resistant and cut-resistant surface, hard-wearing and easy to clean. Suitable for all areas of use except in the laboratory. The special durability not only ensures satisfaction, but also makes the cover a worthwhile investment.

4 - Fabric Duotec ESD

Soft, breathable textile upholstery consisting of hard-wearing cover fabric and high-quality cold foam. The breathable upholstery ensures a pleasant seating climate even in summer and can absorb and release moisture. However, the textile upholstery is not washable.
