Tubular films

Tubular films are packaging materials made of dissipative or volume conductive plastic that enable controlled dissipation of electrostatic charges. With a surface resistance in the range of ≥ 1 × 10⁴ Ω to < 1 × 10¹¹ Ω, they reliably protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) during storage and transportation within electrostatically protected areas (EPA).

The films are flexible, adaptable to different product dimensions and closed on two opposite sides. They can be welded and are therefore particularly suitable for customized packaging solutions.

Compared to semi-tubular films, they allow the product to be completely wrapped. The standard print includes the type designation, the ESD warning symbol, a recycling symbol and the LOT number. The tubular films meet the requirements of the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-3.
