Ionizing equipment

Ionizers are used to neutralize electrostatic charges in ESD-protected areas, especially where direct earthing is not possible or sufficient. Typical designs are table-top and overhead ionizers, ionizing bars and ionizing guns, which reduce static charges by ionizing the air. Special ionizing units with reduced particle output are available for cleanroom applications in order to meet cleanliness requirements. In addition, installation and test systems enable continuous monitoring and assurance of the ionizing performance, which supports ESD protection in sensitive production areas.
