Business meets football pitch: The DPV team at the 9-metre tournament
We normally work with figures, concepts and solutions in the office - but at the 9-metre tournament in Rohrbach, things got sporty for an afternoon: the DPV team took on a completely different challenge - the football goal!
We competed with a colourful team of motivated colleagues. From ambitious hobby footballers to the ‘I-haven't-played-anymore’ types, everything was there - and that's exactly what made the tournament so special for us.
It was clear right from the warm-up that this was not just about scoring goals, but above all about team spirit, fun and shared experiences. The first shot on goal? Just missed. The second? In! And by the third penalty at the latest, it was clear that our strengths lie not only in project work - we can also make a real difference together on the pitch.
Of course, not every shot was a goal - but every attempt was a laugh. Whether it was acrobatic saves, creative attempts or self-deprecating commentary calls from the sidelines - the DPV team showed that sporting ambition and a good dose of humour go together perfectly.
What was particularly nice was that the tournament not only offered sporting highlights, but also valuable time away from everyday office life.
Even if we didn't end up winning the tournament, but rather with sore muscles, we all agree that it was a real hit for our team spirit. We're already looking forward to the next one.
