MPU® REBOUND SYSTEM
The MPU® REBOUND SYSTEM enables noticeably gentle and fatigue-free running. Three basic components form the basis for this outstanding running comfort: pressure relief, cushioning, and dynamics. This is ensured by the perfect interaction of a pressure-relieving insole and the lightweight and responsive MPU® sole technology.

Highlights of the materials
Made like no other — from recycled plastic bottles. REPREVE® recycled polyester is one of the most certified, traceable fibers in the world. High-quality recycled fibers are made from 100% recycled materials, including post-consumer water bottles and pre-consumer waste.
The high-tech MESH UPPER fits the foot perfectly and guarantees the wearer lasting breathability, flexibility, and unmistakable comfort. The airy texture of the fabric guarantees optimal air circulation and thus ensures a permanently pleasant foot climate. It envelops the foot with a supportive fit that improves movement.
The Sportline upper material is a fabric made of textile fibers that combines a wide range of advantages. The fabric is particularly air-permeable, breathable, and therefore very comfortable to wear. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, it is also water-repellent, quick-drying, and durable.
With its penetration-resistant XP® technology, ATLAS offers an innovative system for protecting the foot against sharp objects such as nails. This system uses a high-tech textile material that contains aramid fibers, among other things. The increased safety does not come at the expense of comfort, as the textile is metal-free, extremely lightweight, and supports the natural torsion of the foot.
Alu-tec® technology: the new lightness. Aluminum has not only been used for years in aviation and the automotive industry as a high-tech material, but also in many ATLAS safety shoes today. The anatomically shaped aluminum toe cap is particularly lightweight and shifts the shoe's center of gravity to the middle of the foot. This actively helps to prevent tripping accidents caused by imbalance. The thermally neutral behavior of aluminum also prevents cold spots from forming inside the shoe, guaranteeing a comfortable foot climate in all seasons.

1. Flex grooves
The numerous, responsive FLEX GROOVES support natural rolling motion and, thanks to their arrangement, ensure perfect grip and traction.
2. DYNAMIC PLATES
The new DYNAMIC PLATES in the forefoot area transfer forward energy perfectly. Their positioning plays a decisive role in this.
3. INNOFLEX LINE
The INNOFLEX SYSTEM® absorbs the remaining forces and directs them inward via the movement to the optimal push-off point.
4. CLOUDZONE
Impact forces and strong shocks are absorbed and attenuated during the foot strike phase by a high-performance system in the heel area, the CLOUDZONE.

ATLAS® Recycling safety shoes combine innovative materials with responsible production. The upper is made from 92% recycled PET bottles and is manufactured from REPREVE® polyester—a high-quality, certified recycled material obtained from plastic bottles and industrial waste.
The sole also sets new standards: recycling production residues in the direct soling process saves up to 20% of primary material. Proven MPU® technology continues to ensure optimal cushioning, flexibility, and comfort—for sustainable safety in everyday work.

History
The history of ATLAS began in 1910 with the founding of the “Unnaer Schuhfabrik” (Unna Shoe Factory) by Johannes Schabsky, the great-great-grandfather of the current owner, Hendrik Schabsky. At that time, 16 employees produced protective shoes for the mining and steel industries. Daily production was around 80 pairs of shoes, made from wooden soles and leather parts.
With structural changes in the coal and steel industry, the company shifted its focus to other industries such as the automotive, construction, and chemical sectors. In 1972, the company moved from Unna to Dortmund to the new Wickede-Süd industrial park. After Hans Schabsky's death in 1971, his wife Christine Schabsky and later his son Werner Schabsky took over the management of the company. The company grew steadily and soon employed over 100 people.
A serious setback occurred in 1979 when the factory burned down completely. The reconstruction was successful thanks to the great commitment of the workforce. In the following years, the site was expanded several times – most recently in 2020. Today, the operating area covers around 60,000 square meters.ATLAS has doubled its sales over the last ten years. The Dortmund site is undergoing continuous development. In 2020, for example, the new 4.0 building was opened – a CO₂-neutral facility with modern social and office areas and a new hall for final assembly. Fossil-free heating systems underline the company's commitment to sustainability.
ATLAS now has its own branches in the Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary, and Poland and works closely with specialist dealers throughout Europe.
