PE foam, dissipative 553x353x6 mm

The PE foam offered here, measuring 553x353x6 mm, is characterized by its electrostatic discharge capability and meets the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1. This product, made of closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene, is corrosion-free, abrasion-resistant, and available in black. With a material density of 46 kg/cm³ and an operating temperature limit of up to 90 °C, it provides a robust and durable solution for various applications.
The PE foam is ideally suited as insert foam, interlayers, or web walls for containers, as well as a work surface mat. The typical surface resistance varies depending on the surface coating: The side with skin shows a resistance of 10^5 to 10^6 ohms, while the side without skin exhibits a resistance of 10^7 to 10^8 ohms. These properties make the foam an optimal choice for environments where electrostatic discharges must be avoided.

PE foam interlayers, dissipative

These PE foam interlayers are electrostatically dissipative. They are covered with a thin layer (skin) on one side. The PE foams are also suitable as interlayers for use in shipping, as workstation underlays and partition walls for containers.

The PE foam interlayers are characterized by the following properties:

  • cross-linked
  • closed-cell
  • corrosion-free
  • abrasion-resistant
  • black
  • typical surface resistance: 105 - 106 Ohm (side with skin)
  • typical surface resistance: 107 - 108 Ohm (side without skin)
  • in compliance with the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1

The interlayers are available in predefined dimensions or as individual cuttings.
