Dissipative waste bags are intended for the disposal of waste within electrostatically protected areas (EPA). Conventional plastic bags can generate electrostatic charges through friction or separation processes, which can lead to ESD damage in the event of unintentional contact with sensitive electronic assemblies. ESD-compliant waste bags have dissipative properties that enable the controlled discharge of static electricity and thus reduce the risk of uncontrolled discharges. Their use supports compliance with the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 and contributes to the ESD-compliant implementation of the disposal process.
